Services were held Tuesday for Chester A. Mashek, 55 of 198th and Torrence, Chicago Heights. Mr. Mashek died Sunday at his home.
The Reverend Robert Sloniger, Pastor of Central Christian church, officiated at the services. Burial was at Oakland Cemetery, Dolton. Funeral arrangements were by the W.E. Kerr Chapel, Harvey.
A resident of the local area for many years, he was born in Chicago on September 10, 1920. A welder for Donovan Enterprises, he was a navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen; two daughters, Mrs. Janice Blank and Mrs. Donna Jarecki, both of Glenwood; four sons, Ronald of Riverdale, Larry of New Mexico, David of Alsip, and Paul of Glenwood; a sister, Mrs. Angeline Kaminski of Harvey; and eight grand-children.
