Maude Burgin Root, 75, of 203 West Columbia Street, died Tuesday at the Somerset City Hospital after three weeks illness.
The daughter of the late William and Martha Bays Burgin. She was born June 15, 1889 in Pulaski Co., KY. She was married to Frank Root who preceded her in death.
She attended the Saline Baptist Church.
Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Dolly Lyons, and Mrs. Winnie Smith, both of Somerset.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Somerset Undertaking Company with the Rev. L.D. Fisher officiating. Burial in the Somerset Cemetery.
