KIMBERLY - Harold E. Beat, 76, of Kimberly, died Saturday, July 11, 1987, at the Twin Falls Clinic and Hospital.
Born Aug. 17, 1919, at Burwell, Neb., he grew up in Nebraska and came to Idaho in 1934, farming in the Kimberly area. He married Dorothy McInturf on Aug. 28, 1934, in Hollenger, Neb. He later farmed in Eden, and in 1963 he moved to Jerome. He moved back to Kimberly in 1968, where he worked for Green Seed and later as a carpenter and tool sharpener.
He was a member of IOOF in Eden, holding many offices, and was a chairman of the Kimberly Senior Citizens.
Surviving are: his wife of Kimberly; one son, Gary Beat of Twin Falls; one daughter, Joyce Morrison of Lynwood, Wash.; one brother, Eldred Beat of Arapahoe, Neb.; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Reynolds Funeral Chapel in Twin Falls, with the Re4v. Dale Metzler officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
