A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Peletier Baptist Church with the Pastor Kenneth Saleeby officiating. Interment will follow at the Peletier Baptist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson loved being around people, gardening and her beautiful flowers.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah R. Osborne and her fiancé Ron Cochran of Belhaven, eight grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd C. "Slim" Johnson, daughters Annette Johnson and Patricia Diane Edwards, son Lynn Curtis Johnson, parents Merritt and Sally Pearson Peele, sisters Geneva Gibson, Dot Adams and Jean Walters, and brothers Howard Peele, Pete Peele, and Bob Peele.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
