Dick Bevan passed away in Salt Lake City on April 18, 2016, in the presence of his brother, Ned; sister-in-law, Shauna; aunt, Lois Krause; and cousin, Teddie Krause.

Born June 17, 1941 in Salt Lake City to Burdette and Anna Irving Bevan of Tooele.

Resident of Salt Lake City since his discharge from the U.S. Army, where he served two years in West Germany.

Survived by brother, Ned B. Bevan, and sister-in-law, Shauna L. Bevan, Tooele; aunt, Lois E. Krause, Salt Lake City; cousins, Teddie Krause, Salt Lake City; Gordon Irving, Bountiful; and Tom (Judith) Irving, Vienna, Virginia; and uncle, Ross (Donna) Bevan, Salt Lake City. Also survived by nieces, Sharol (Dan) Florence, Amanda (Spencer) Phillips, Katherine (David) Beifuss, and Stephanie Bevan; nephew, Patrick Bevan; and many cousins in Tooele.

Dick retired from Utah State Tax Commission, where he made many friends.

He enjoyed frequent trips to Wendover and Las Vegas, watching sports, and was an avid old film buff, especially B movies from the 1930s and '40s. Dick acquired a large collection of 1930s and '40s videos and dvds, along with numerous TV series. He could name the actors and actresses in all the old films and series'.

The family is grateful to the staff at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center for its kind care.

A military graveside service will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Tooele City Cemetery, 361 South 100 East, Tooele.
