Isabel Stetson was the dau of Robert and Isa (Crosset) Stetson who married 19 Feb 1795. Isabel was born 14 Jan 1800, the fourth of 10 children. Robert went to Champlain, NY in 1799, and it is probable Isabel was born there. He was a Customs Official in 1811 and at that time lived on the Canadian side. At the time Robert and Isa's marriage intentions were filed, she was called "Asa Crossett" and he was listed as "Robert of Greenwich".
