William "Billie" Waldon was born on October 4, 1869 in Tennessee, the son of Urilla Waldon and Jane (Mannon) Waldon.
He was married on December 20, 1887 in Smith County to Ida Hodge (1871-1939), and she was the daughter of William "Carroll" Hodge (1837-1907) and his wife Stacy Ann (Earls) Hodge (1838-1912).
A farmer at 9 miles Whites Creek Road out of Nashville and near Whites Creek community, he was 60 years old and married when he died at home of pulmonary TB on February 11, 1930. Burial was the next day in Mount Zion Cemetery near Alexander, Tennessee.
