Mary Frances (Angel) Hyde, 86, of Jacksonville, Alabama, died on April 21, 2016 at her home. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, two daughters, two sisters, one brother, six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She received her BS degree from Jacksonville State Teachers College in 1950 and her MA degree at Jackson State University in 1977. She taught school from 1950 until 1987 at Oxford Elementary, Annette P. Edwins Elementary in Fort Walton, Florida, Cedar Springs School, and Faith Temple. Her professional affiliations include the National Education Association, the Alabama Education Association, and the Calhoun County Retired Teachers. She retired from the Calhoun County Board of Education with 38 years service and retired as a teacher in Cedar Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Ethel Angel; brothers and sister-in-law, Clytus and Dora Sue Angel and Roscoe Angel, her brothers-in-law, Clayton Johnson and Harold Noah and a niece, Dianne Johnson. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. April 24, 2016 at Angel Grove Baptist Church, where she was a member and taught Sunday School.
