William C. Ahrenbeck's birth name was Johann Jacob Wilhelm Ahrenbeck. He was born to Johannes Christian Ahrenbeck and Dorethea Schmidt in the town of Spring Branch, now a part of Houston. His wife was Mary McIntyre. They were married 12 Mar 1888 in Brenham, Texas. He was my great-grandmother's brother. His birth record from the Lutheran Church in Spring Branch gives a different birthdate from that on his tombstone.
