Mr. C. W. Angle, age 83 years, one of the old settlers of Shawnee County, died Saturday night at midnight at his home, 322 West Gordon street. He was the stepfather of D. T. and C. L. Gregg and the father of the late W. N. Angle, or as he was known to his friends, "Billy" Angle, who was in the drug business here at one time and whose death occurred in October of 1886. He was also the father of Mrs. Ella M. Gardner of Chicago and of Charles H. Angle.
The funeral, which was private, only the members of the family and close friends being present, was held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the house and the burial was in the Topeka cemetery.

Daughter, Ella M Angle Gardner died September 2, 1919 at Chicago. Burial was the following day at Champaign, Illinois.
