He was born in Berkeley, CA to Harvey and Valerie (Hunt) Peterson and was raised in Paradise, CA.
Ed entered the Air Force when he was nineteen and served for four years. Much of that time was spent in French Morocco.
Ed entered the Veterans Home in 2004 and was grateful to be living there.
He was predeceased by his mother and by his grandson, Cole. He is survived by his father, Harvey Peterson of Lake Almanor; by daughter Valerie Peterson of Gridley, CA; by grandchildren Alyssa and Myranda Hewitt; by brother Laird and sister-in-law Wanda Peterson of Orland, CA and by cousin Nancy Peterson of Orinda, CA.
Arrangements were cared for by Richard Pierce Funeral Service. He will be interred at the Veterans Home Cemetery.
He will be honored at the Remembrance Service held on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 10:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel.
