Grew up in the Ely area and worked for the Nevada Norhtern Railway before moving to Ft Morgan, CO. On July 20. 1935 he married the Former Evelyn Henderson in Fremont, NEB.He was a member of the United Methodist Church, a 70 year member of the Masons, belonging to both the Ely and Ft. Morgan lodges, the El Jebel Shrine, Eastern Star, Scottish Rite Consisktory, Royal Arch and the Knights Templar. He also was a member of the Ft. Morgan Lions Club. He enjoyed reading in his spare time.
