Ben was the son of William Howard and Hattie Belle Green Bennette..He was married March 10 1928 to Bessie Nathalia Embree who died Feb 22 1952.He was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church and was active in bowling teams in Jefferson City..He was employed at the Missouri Pacific Railroad at Sedalia until he moved to Jefferson City in 1957..He later became a guard at the Missouri State Penitentiary until his retirement in 1972.
