Natalia "Mom" Catasus was born in the beloved town of Silver City on July 3, 1935 to Magdelena and Eusebio Abeyta. She entered eternal life with the Lord on April 2,2016. She was the oldest of five children Ruben, Kiko, Lala and Jumbo who she love and cared for as her own children. She moved to California and settled into La Puente where she raised her family and made many lifelong friends who she cherished dearly. She moved to West Covina, Calif., with her son George and daughter-in-law Carol and their family. Her loved ones can't say how many people actually lived with her but her door was always open. The love and knowledge she shared about anything and everything was amazing. She remembered every memory she ever made and was sure to share them. Though not officially to many she was a doctor, a teacher, a geologist, a historian, a phenomenal woman and a loving Mom. Her food was simple but fed many. Although you may have only gotten on piece of bacon and half of a piece of toast she made sure there was enough for all. She would always say that as long as she had potatoes no one would starve. She loved to dance and tried to show her family how to jitterbug. She had all the right moves. Her love for music was passed on to all of them. "Color My World" was one of her favorites. She is survived by her husband Ralph and her five children George, Dolores, Camille, Bernadette and Adri the baby. She 15 grandkids and 21 great-grandbabies with two more on the way. Mom is a legend. "Heroes get remembered but legends never die."
