CHARLESTON—Bryan Bechtel, 85, of Pine Brook, N.J., formerly of Charleston, died Tuesday (March 15, 1983) in a Boonton, N. J. hospital.
The funeral will be held at 2 p. m. Monday in Caudill-King Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Skinner officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 p. m. Monday until service time.
Mr. Bechtel was born April 21, 1897, in Cowden, a son of Michael R. and Claudia Wallace Bechtel. He was married to Sadie Smith in 1943 at Charleston. She died Feb. 17, 1980. Mr. Bechtel was a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by a foster son, Logan E. Polley of Cowden; a stepson, William Norris of New Jersey; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Eralsmo (Shirley) Piazza of Pine Brook and Mrs. Russell (Betty) Noel and Mrs. William ({Phyllis) Patterson, both of Massachusetts; and three brothers, Harold and Clive, both of Cowden, and Max of Streamwood.
