Born near Unionville Center to the late Julius Leonard and AdaBlanche Nunamaker Bliss on May 18, 1931. He married Carolyn Jean Engle on August 20, 1959 in York Center, who survives him.
Retired from the US Air Force after twenty years of service. Later he enjoyed golf, travelling and watching tractor trailor pulls. A family man who volunteered with the Meals on Wheels program in his community.
He is survived by his loving wife, two sons, one daughter, plus one son-in-law and daughter-in-law. Seven grandchildren plus four great grandchildren; two sisters, and a brother also survive him.
Burial will follow at York Center Cemetery.
