Cambridge City - Genevieve S. Berninger, age 89, died Friday, January 7, 2005, at Rosegate Village in Richmond, where she resided for the past 7 years.
She was born in Everton, on September 26, 1915, the daughter of Carl P. and Alice Mary Profogle Berninger.
She was employed at Dana Corporation for 31 years as an inspector. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cambridge City.
Survivors include three nieces, Lila Carr, Debra Scales, and Sue Clark; two nephews, Robert Barbour and Steve Berninger.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Church and Beryl Barbour and three brothers, Noel, Clayton, and Leo Berninger.
Funeral services was Monday, January 10, at the Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City, with Rev. Mal Gibson officiating.
Burial was in Everton Cemetery in Everton.
