Funeral services for John V. Clinch, 78 of Madison, father of Mrs. Joe Bstandig were held this morning at Sacred Heart Church in Norfolk with Msgr. Robert P. Burns officiating.
Mr. Clinch died Tuesday in a Norfolk hospital after suffering a stroke about three weeks ago.
Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery at Norfolk.
John Vincent Clinch was born August 17, 1879 at St. Bernard and lived most of his life in Stanton and Madison Counties.
He was married October 22, 1919 and the couple made their home in Norfolk for several years, after which they moved to a farm about ten miles south of Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Bstandig, one Son Gerald, of Madison, five grandchildren, three sisters, and one brother. (Stanton Register, Stanton, NE, March 20, 1958)
