Marguerite Anna (Clauser) Weiser, 89, formerly of Oysterdale Road, Oley, died April 27, 2016, in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.
She was married December 15, 1945, to Daniel Y. Weiser, who died March 16, 2002. Born September 15, 1926, in Reading, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Reynold and Anna (Burkey) Clauser.
Marguerite was a 1944 graduate of Oley Valley High School. She was employed several years as a bank teller with Bank of PA, Boyertown, and also as a cashier with McDonald's, Mt. Penn.
Marguerite was a member of Frieden's United Church of Christ, Oley, where she enjoyed volunteering and attending bazaars.
She also enjoyed baking, boating in Maryland and working in the hogie stand at the Oley Fair.
Marguerite is survived by a son, Scott D., husband of Lori A. (Duggan) Weiser, of Oley Township. Other survivors include five siblings: Ethel Harter, of Georgia; Ray, husband of Patti Clauser, of Georgia; Dorothy, wife of William Taft, of Mass.; Russell E., husband of Harriet Clauser, of Exeter Township; and Curtis, husband of Janet Clauser, of Lower Alsace Township. There are also three grandchildren: Adam Weiser, Daniel Weiser and Kateyln Oxenreider and one great-granddaughter, Madison Weiser.
Services will be Monday, May 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley. A viewing will be held Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in Frieden's Cemetery, Oley.
