Martha Gearldine "Jerry" Copeland Rogers, 74 years, 7 months and 5 days of age, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, departed this life on Saturday, April 30th, 2016 at 1:56 p.m. at the Hosparus of Southern Indiana Unit at the Norton Healthcare Pavilion in Louisville, Kentucky in the presence of her loving family following a long battle with emphysema.

Martha was born in Charlestown, Indiana on September 25th, 1941, daughter of the late Joseph Ellis "Joe" Copeland and Lou E. Copeland-Maggard. Martha was of the Baptist faith. She was retired from environmental services at the Greater Clark County School System. She enjoyed collecting clocks, University of Kentucky Basketball, her pets, and spending time with family.

Martha was survived by one daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Scrogham (and Ricky Hooker); one son, Eric (and Jan) Smith; one step-daughter, Lisa Rogers Frakes (and Al); one step-son, Frankie Eugene "Frank" (and Kika) Rogers; nine grandchildren, Jerry Rogers, Chris Rogers, Magaly Jewel Weyrich, Heather (and Nick) Morris, Salena Limón, Nolan Smith, Erica Thompson, Ryan (and Shamron) Stewart, and Rachel (and Armando) Ortiz; seven great grandchildren, Makayla, Kristopher, Aiden, Jovanny, Ellie, Ximena, and Lydia; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Joe (and Vickie) Stone; one sister, Iona (and Ed) Greishaw; her lifetime best friend, Morris Dillard; her little dog, Angel; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Ellis "Joe" Copeland, who departed this life on December, 3rd, 1984; her mother, Lou E. Abney Copeland-Maggard, who departed this life on June 24th, 1965; her loving husband of twenty-eight years, Franklin Delaine "Frank" Rogers, whom she married on August 24th, 1985 at the Sunnyside Assembly of God Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana and who departed this life on April 27th, 2014; one brother, Joe Paul Copeland, who departed this life on June 13th, 1942; and one sister, Clara Lee Copeland Reisert, who departed this life on June 5th, 1994.

Visitations were held from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4th, 2016 at the Legacy Funeral Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Funeral services were held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4th, 2016 in the Chapel of the Legacy Funeral Center with Bro. Steve Kerberd officiating.

Musical selections were: The Dance by Garth Brooks, Go Rest High On That Mountain by Vince Gill, Angels Among Us by Alabama, Old Rugged Cross by Alan Jackson, and I will Always Love You by Dolly Parton.

In honor of her family's wishes, funeral services were followed by cremation.
