Greer, SC - Arthur J. V. George died unexpectedly from a heart attack at 5 p.m. Friday, Sep. 9, 1960 in Pierre, South Dakota. He was working there on a construction job. Native of North Carolina and had made his home in Pelham, SC for the past 15 years. Son of the late Ira L. George and Mrs. Lillie Kirby George. Survivors included: his wife, Inez Turner George; one daughter; six sons; one brother, Clyde George of Silver Springs, MD; and 9 grandchildren. He was 48 years of age at demise and interment was in the Wood Memorial Park Cemetery. (Original Obituary was rewritten to conform to Findagrave Rules by Record Hunter.)
