BURLESON, JOE LOUIS, 67. Mr. Burleson passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2003 in the Charleston Methodist Hospital, Dallas. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 13, 2003 at 11:00 AM in the Good Street Baptist Church, 3110 Bonnie View Rd, Dallas, Texas where Dr. C.A.W. Clark is the pastor. Rev. R. Anglin and Rev. R. H. Bollin will officiate. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery, Mexia. Viewing will be held Friday, September 12, 2003 from 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. in the Rose Room of Black and Clark Funeral Home, 2517 E. Illinois, Dallas. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 7:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Mr. Burleson was born in Mexia, Texas and retired from Simmons Manufacturing Co. He was an Independent Plumbing Contractor, was a Prince Hall Mason, and was a member of Good Street Baptist Church, Dallas. Survivors include: His wife, Eva Atkins Burleson, Dallas; Sons: Anthony Louise Burleson, Dallas and Joe Willie Burleson, Houston; Sister: Ada Conner, Mexia; Grandson: Jerell, Dallas; A Special Nephew: Ricky Coulter Burleson, Dallas; Great-Aunt: Julia Hurd Henry, Mexia; Uncle: Clarence Deming, Mexia; Sister-in-Law: Billie Lewis, Dallas; Brothers-in-Law: Joe Atkins and Wife, Marjorie, Dallas and Willie H.
