JOE BEDNAR
Rites for Joe Bednar, 72, who died Wednesday night after a lengthy illness at his home northwest of the city, will be 3 p.m. Friday in Sherman funeral home with burial at Britton Cemetery.
A retired farmer, Bednar was born in Czechoslovakia, and came to Oklahoma as a child.
His father homesteaded the land on which he resided.
Survivors included his wife, Freda Bednar, of the home; a son; three daughters, and seven grandchildren.
