Mrs. Ida Decker, 76, died November 10, 1976, Wednesday, afternoon in a Mooreland Hospital. Her sevice will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Mooreland Cemetery under the direction of Billings-Knittel Funeral Home, Mooreland.
Mrs. Decker, the former Ida May Bradley, was born May 7, 1900, at Grose Creek in Cowley County, Kansas. In 1903, she moved with her parents to Oklahoma, settling on Doe Creek. The family moved to Silver Springs District in Woodward County in 1914. On June 5, 1918, she married Melvin F. Decker in Woodward. They established their first home on Chennet Creek, and in 1925, moved back to the Grant Bradley farm due to the death of her mother. In 1969, they moved the farm home into Mooreland where she had resided until 1975 when she entered the nursing home at Mooreland.
Mrs. Decker was a member of the Busy Bee Farm Community and was co-founder of the Doe Creek and Golden Belt School reunion where she served as president until 1974. She was a charter member of the Waynoka Saddle Club and active in the rattle snake hunt. She was also a member of the Baptist Church, Old Cow Hand reunion of Freedom and Mooreland American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin; one son, Marvin, of Waynoka; one daughter, Mrs. E. M. (Geneva) Richburg, of Edmond; two brothers, Arthur Bradley and Lowell Bradley, both of Mooreland; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
