Willie C. Fuller, Sr. "Fats" Willie C. Fuller, Sr. was born on Ma rch 17, 1937 in Forsyth, Georgia to share cropper parents, Willie C. Fuller, Sr. and Annie Will Fuller. He received Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1984 at New Hope Baptist Church, and was currently attending Greater Open Door COGIC under the direction of Rev. Harden. Willie received education up to the 3rd grade in Georgia before leaving school to aide his father in the family farm picking cotton and farming livestock. At the young age of 14, in an effort to help his parents and siblings financially, he e nlisted in the United States Army. While serving in the army, he met and married Annie Mary Fuller on May 31, 1956 in Alabama. The couple later moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL and started their family. In 1964, the family moved to Long Beach, CA where he and his wife worked tirelessly to relocate his parents and siblings out of the Georgia poverty they were living in and into Long Beach, CA. In the late 1950's, Willie and Annie Marie Fuller began their business empire in Ft. Lauderdale, FL with the creation of Mr. Beautiful Lawn Service. After relocating to Long Beach, Willie worked for Dealers Tires as a detailer and for Basin Sanitation in Long Beach as a truck driver. Willie began his legacy of Long Beach business ownership with the creation of a soul food restaurant in 1966. He would go on to make his mark in the Long Beach business community with the creation of Gold Coast Mufflers and the CoCo Palms Restaurant and Lounge. He leaves to mourn extended family and friends.
