Son of Henry Franklin Staggs and Mary Frances Spencer. Lived his entire life in Parke County; Ferndale, Rockville and Tangier. Married Dolly May Adams on 17 Oct 1907 in Rockville. Father of two sons; Alva "Bus" and William "Homer" Staggs and five girls; Frances, Olive, Norene, Blanche and Helen. Died at his home (farm) in Tangier, IN at the age of 83. Was a farmer and always wore bib overalls all the time I knew him (grandson). Liked his chewing tobacco and liked to carve things out of wood and read western paperback books by kerosene lamp.
