"Copleston May 15 -- (Special to the Canadian Observer)

The funeral of Mrs John McPHEDRAN, aged 61 yrs, who died on Sunday evening, was held from the family residence, Copleston, on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and was largely attended. Interment was at Hillside Cemetary, Petrolia.

The service was conducted by the Rev R J Hay, pastor of the Petrolia Presbyterian Church and E D Fletcher of Petrolia sang 'The City Four Square' accompanied by Miss M Murray. The pallbearers were George Hunter, Harry Maw, John Bradley, F D McDonald, P L and Bruce McPhedran.

Mrs McPHEDRAN was born at Camlachie, her maiden name being Miss Annie JOHNSON. In 1898 she was married to John McPHEDRAN and they have resided here practically ever since.

Besides her husband, she is survived by 1 son, Clarence, of Windsor; 5 sisters: Mrs Cagg of Thomas Oklahoma, Mrs Barrett and Mrs Daley of Detroit, Mrs Crawford and Mrs Anderson of Camlachie; 4 brothers: Thomas of Sarnia, William of Camlachie, George of Esson Saskatchewan and Fred of Medicine Hat Alberta."
