Marion Ellsworth Noland was the son of Francis Marion ("Frank") Noland and Priscilla Australia Owens.

He married Elberta Mae Sparks, daughter of John Andrew Sparks and Mary Jane Boothe, ca 1918; they were married until his death. The couple had three children, two daughters and one son, namely:

ALBERTA MAE (NOLAND) CRABBE (1919-2001);
DOROTHY HELEN (NOLAND) TURNER (ca 1923- ); and
JOHN ELLSWORTH NOLAND (1925-2004).

"NOLAND--Marion E., 91, of 1008 S. Troost, passed away Tuesday. He was a veteran of World War I and retired from the Frisco Railroad. He was a former Tulsa School Guard. He is survived by: wife, Elberta of the home; 2 daughters, Dorothy Turner and Berta Crabbe; 1 son, John Noland; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; all of Tulsa. Private service 2 p.m., Wednesday, Floral Haven Chapel. Moore's, 583-6148."
