Joan M. Reich, age 84, of Two Rivers, died Monday morning, May 2, 2016 at Northland Lodge, Two Rivers (Atrium Assisted Living).
Joan was born on October 31, 1931 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Maurice and Katherine (Lewandowski) Gallagher. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1950. On January 15, 1955 Joan married Allen J. Reich at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on February 22, 2012.
Joan grew up in Manitowoc and moved to Two Rivers after her marriage. She was a housewife who raised 7 wonderful children. Joan enjoyed camping. She is a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children: Susan M. (Douglas) Oswald, Kellnersville; Mary J. Flentje, Manitowoc; Patricia M. (Robert) Stalvey, Manitowoc; Peter (Debra) Reich, Green Bay; Joseph (Sheri) Reich, Marinette; Thomas (Tammy) Reich, Manitowoc; daughter-in-law: Nancy Reich, Two Rivers; 7 grandchildren: Elizabeth Rahmlow, Gwinn, MI; Nicholas Oswald, Traverse City, MI; Christopher Reich, Appleton; Adam (Tori) Reich, Two Rivers; Brice Flentje, Milwaukee; Sean Stalvey and Vanessa Stalvey, both of Manitowoc; 2 great grandchildren: Jimmy and Hana Rahmlow, Gwinn, MI; brother and sister-in-law: Donald & Pat Gallagher, Manitowoc; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Kenneth & Katie Reich, Menomonee Falls; Douglas & Kathy Reich, Scottsdale, AZ; also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Joan was preceded in death by her mother Katherine Gallagher (1988), her father Maurice Gallagher (1997), one son John Reich (2008), one brother and sister-in-law James Gallagher (2000) & June Gallagher (2013) and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Clarence (1985) & Marcella Reich (1984).
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Maurice Mmegbuadimma with entombment to take place at Knollwood Mausoleum at a later time.
