She was a faithful member of Baptist Chapel Church where she was treasurer for 35 years and was an inspiration to all those she encountered. She enjoyed the simple things in life and will always be remembered for her self-sacrificial service and generosity to those she loved and cared for.
Mrs. Honeycutt was born March 2, 1922 in Cumberland Co. She was daughter of the late Willie James and Carrie Williams Hubbard and was also preceded in death by her husband, Ball Honeycutt, brothers, Euland “Coot”, Thurman, Joseph, Abner and Lewis Hubbard, as well as sisters, Juanita Cashwell and Bettie Carroll.
She was a 1940 graduate of Stedman High School and retired from Belk in Dunn.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2016 at Baptist Chapel Church with Rev. Joey Cantrell, Rev. Alan Roberts and Rev. Tommy Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by daughters Joy H. Sigler and husband Bob of Godwin and Connie H. Fann and husband Dale of Godwin; sisters Florence Dowd and Janice Mobley both of Stedman; grandchildren, Jeremy Fann and wife Samantha, Monica Spencer and husband Stanley, Stephanie Naylor and husband Marshall and Jill Holland and husband Johnnie. She was blessed with 14 great grandchildren: Dustin, Tyler, Karsyn Fann, Grant and Morgan Naylor, Wyatt, Jacob and Ethan Holland, Corey and Noah Durham, Caitlin, Carlie, Madison and Tristen Spencer.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Baptist Chapel Church and other times at the home.
