Frances Bolton Montaquila, 78, of Winston-Salem, a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Macon, Ga., to George Thomas and Mildred Cranford Bolton. Mrs. Montaquila was a member of Konnoak Hills United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Spencer High School in Spencer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Montaquila. Surviving are a daughter, Karen M. Ganzert, and husband Kent of Charlotte; two sons, Ron Montaquila and wife Susan of Winston-Salem and Robert Montaquila and wife Lucy of Greenville, N.C.; six grandchildren, Ashley and Caroline Montaquila, Graves and Jonathan Ganzert and Eben and Julian Montaquila; and a sister, Helen Dundee, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Parklawn Mausoleum Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Sherrill officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
