SPC Andrew J. Anthony Jr., 23, of Watertown, NY, passed away April 28, 2016 at his home. He was born November 30, 1992 in Salina, KS.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Daynia G. Anthony; a son, Andrew J. Anthony III; his mother, Edith C. (Adkins) Proctor, fiancé, William Gardner-Bey, all of Harrisburg; his father, Andrew J. Anthony Sr., of KS; 3 sisters, Emeline Marie Proctor, of Lemoyne, Messiah A. Taylor, of Virginia and Starlay Ramsey, of Harrisburg; and a brother, Noah Jerimiah Tate, of Harrisburg.
He was a graduate of Louis D. Brandeis High School, San Antonio, TX, where he played football and was in the Navy ROTC Program; he also worked for Overnight Inc., was a supervisor for Sonic Restaurant and former Hess Gas Stations.
Andrew was a Specialist in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Drum, NY.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 13, 2016 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at the funeral home until the time of the service.
