There are Newport, Rhode Island property transfer records from the 1880s and 1890s which involved Wilson S. Sherman. Apparently he dropped out of sight for several years after that, because newspaper stories from 1910 detail efforts to locate him so that attorneys could convey to him the remainder of his parents' estate.
