Rachel married about 1837 to John Coulson (1814-1857). She died about 1849, possibly in childbirth with her daughter Lucelia (1849-1936). Her other children, all born in Pennsylvania, from the August 1, 1850 census of Stockbridge, Ingham County, Michigan:
James Rose Coulson, age 12, 1837-1900
Martha E. Coulson, age 10, 1839-1891; married Benjamin Judson.
William W. Coulson, age 4; 1845-died in the Civil War

and a daughter Fanny Ethelene Coulson 1841-1918; married 1868 to Alfred Watson Higbie.
and a son Thomas Coulson 1843-1849

John Coulson remarried and had more children before his death in 1857.
