Loving Wife of the late Robert B. Axum, loving Mother to Madeline (Kurt) Zwikelmaier and Harrison (Cindy) Axum. Beloved Grandmother to Virginia Zwikelmaier and Elise Zwikelmaier. Mary was a gentle soul. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Dayspring Baptist Church (formally Delmar Baptist) for over 55 years. Over the years she was on the Executive Council, Diaconate, Prayer Call List, Women’s Council and White Cross, and Church Bookkeeper. She enjoyed attending the Area V meetings of American Baptist Women. She loved needlepoint and knitting and crocheting, and had many fond memories of her Delmar Sewing Group. She was also an avid reader, especially English History and Mysteries. She was a bird watcher and loved her audio tapes of Placido Domingo. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
Following a private burial, there will be a Memorial Service at Dayspring Baptist Church, 1001 Municipal Center Drive, St. Louis, MO 63131 on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 11:00am.
