EMMA HOAGLAND was born in Edinburg PA, then part of Mercer County, on August 7, 1836 the daughter of James and Sarah Covert Park. She married George W. Hoagland and lived all of her life in Edinburg. She died at her home on Friday Nov. 8, 1895 at age 59. Survivors were listed as he her husband and sons James, Edwin and Lewis although some sources suggest two other children, Alviso and Anna. A funeral services was held at the Disciples Church on Sunday, Nov. 10 and internment followed at the Park Cemetery.
