Arthur Younger Ford married Esther A. Brown on Jan. 3, 1887. He served as President of The University of Louisville from 1914 - 1926. He was the Chairman of the Kentucky Committee for the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. Three albums of his photographs which were displayed at the fair are stored in archives at the University of Louisville. Photos are available online at the U of L website.

His father was Salem Holland Ford, and Arthur had a son who was also named Salem Holland Ford.
