Betty was born in Graceham, Maryland. She attended White Sulphur Springs school until the age of nine, when the family relocated to Outville, Ohio. Betty attended Kirkersville High School, where she was a majorette for the school band. It is also where she met her future husband who played on the school's basketball team.

On May 7th, 1952, Betty married Richard Eugene Snyder, and the couple settled in Kirkersville, Ohio.

Betty became the mother of four children; Douglas Eugene in March 1955, Jamie Randall in February 1956, Gary Richard in June 1957 (deceased 1964), and Vanessa Jean (Benni) in June 1961.

Betty loved the Lord, cats, children and crafts. She was a friendly and sincere homemaker who tended to gravitate toward caring for others who were sick, burdened with problems, or just needed a friendly ear and an encouraging word or prayer; as a result, Betty was blessed with many good friends. And we were all blessed to be in the presence of an authentic earthbound angel.

She is very greatly missed by all whose life's path crossed hers, and will be forever remembered as our eternal optimist and emotional anchor.

Betty's younger sister Carole Piper is also on Find A Grave now.

** With deepest thanks and a big hug to Nathaniel Wiltse, also his Daddy and Mama for sponsoring this memorial site; may God bless you richly. **
