Actress. Born Phyllis Kirkegaard. She is probably best remembered as the object of Vincent Price's obsession in the horror movie "House of Wax" (1953). Prior to her film career, Kirk was a dancer and model. After making her screen debut in "Our Very Own" (1950), she appeared in such films as "The Sad Sack" (1957) with Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, and "Johnny Concho" (1956) with Frank Sinatra. Kirk also appeared on Broadway and was in the 1950s television series "The Thin Man".
