J.H. “Ace” Abram, Jr., age 84, of Oxford, formerly of Lithonia, died April 5, 2016. He graduated from North Georgia College and the University of Georgia, served his country honorably in the United States Army, and retired from Eastern Airlines after 35 years of service. Ace was an avid UGA football fan, liked to keep up with current events, and enjoyed traveling with his wife, especially to the mountains. He had a great love for his Sunday School class, The Wesley Bible Class. Ace was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Patsy. Surviving are his son, John Abram, and his wife, Chloe, of Atlanta; granddaughter, Avery Abram; grandson, Cameron Abram. A funeral service will be held 11 o’clock, Friday, April 8, at the Lithonia First United Methodist Church with Dr. Gil Watson and Rev. Leon Matthews officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Hillandale Memorial Park.
