Charlie, our beloved furry friend went to Rainbow bridge yesterday to wait for us. This little guy came into our lives about 4 yrs ago and was diagnosed with diabetes shortly there after. He gave us purpose in our lives and a reason to get up every morning to give him his insulin and breakfast. It tore us up to have to give him shots but we knew he needed them to save his life. Unfortunately this weekend his little kidneys started failing and there was nothing more the vets could do.It would have been more selfish of us to let him continue to live in pain than it was to make the decision to let him go. It was so hard today to get up and not hear him barking to come inside or barking cuz he didn't want his shot. Everything in general is just different. We were with him when he closed his eyes to rest and I pray this little guy knew how much he was loved and that not only did we change his life but he changed ours. RIP Charlie.

10/24/16 Charlie is still missed so much by us and it seems that we have not changed anything that belonged to him. His bed is still where it was and his pillow in the living room that he used to jump on the couch and although the mattress he used to lay in the sun is needs to be put in the trash because it is tore up...we just can't seem to get rid of it. I did put an Angel on his grave yesterday and I pray he knows how much he is loved and missed.
