Sarah Jane Braisted
Mrs. Sarah Jane Braisted died about 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the home of her son, Cornelius Braisted, Richmond Avenue, Graniteville. Mrs. Braisted was 82 years old, and up to a few weeks ago, when she was partially paralysed, had been in fairly good health. For over 27 years the venerable lady had been a widow.
The funeral service was held on Thursday at the Asbury Church, where the deceased had been a faithful member for over half a century, the Rev. A.C. McCrea, pastor of Grace ME Church officiating.
Three children, Cornelius, Peter and Simpson Braisted survive. The interment was in Merrell Cemetery.
