Abraham L. Rice, Jr., 53, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016. The family will receive friends at a catered reception from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hernando Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church in Whitehaven. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Maria V. Rice of Horn Lake; daughter, Kimberly Rice of Nashville; sons, Trey Rice, Jacob Rice and Sean Rice, all of Horn Lake; mother Gertrude Rice; sisters, Rose Early of McKinney, TX and Lorraine Felts of Walls; brothers, Ernest Rice of Horn Lake and Adam Rice of Southaven.
