BRIDPORT - On May 17, 2016, Thelma "Tuck" Ruth (Beers) Denett passed away peacefully from her home in Bridport, VT.

Thelma was born in Hampton, New York on September 15, 1925 to Thomas Ross Beers and Thelma Evelyn Collins.

She was a strong, hard working woman that married Richard Victor Denett, Sr. on December 4, 1944 in Troy, NY.

Later they ran a dairy farm in Bridport, VT where her door was always open to visiting family.

She was the treasurer of the Champlain Valley Fiddlers Club and volunteered at the Bridport Senior Meal Site.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her step father John A. Mohan of Vergennes, VT; husband Richard Victor Denett, Sr. of Bridport, VT; companion Richard Garneau Andrews, Sr.; Four brothers: Thomas Elberton Beers of Bridport, VT, Raymond Edward Mohan of Middlebury, VT, Philip Carlton of Brazoria, TX and Eugene Gerard LaPlante of Baytown, TX; Two sisters Elsie May (Beers) Delphia of Bridport, VT and Verna Janice (Mohan) Rosebrough of Coral Springs, FL; Grandson Gene Alan Oliver of Bridport, VT; Four brothers-in-law: Ernest Delphia of Bridport, VT, Alfred Denett of Troy, NY, Chesley Denett of Orono, ME and Charles Denett of Onondaga, NY; Step Sister Katherine (La Mountain) Wade; Twelve sisters-in-law: Mary (Denett) McGee of Peru, NY, Cora (Blanchard) Denett of Stockbridge, VT, Isabelle (Denett) Sherman of Elizabethtown, NY, Beatrice (Denett) Passino of Central Square, NY, Elizabeth (Barber) Denett of Orono, Maine, Dora (Denett) Weeks of Elizabethtown, NY, Grace (Howard) Denett of Central Square, NY, Etta (Denett) Green of Albany, NY, Grace (Denett) Carr of Onieda, NY, Verna (Lewis) Denett of Summerset, SD, Ruth (Sealscott) Beers of San Bernardino, CA and Gwendolyn (Bardin) Laplante of Baytown, TX.
