Ralph W. Myers
Services for Ralph W. Myers, 67, of 845 Plateau Ave., Lakeland, Fla., will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Glen W. Morrison Memorial Chapel in Lakeland.
He died Friday in Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Fla.
Born Jan. 28, 1924, in Adams County, he was a son of the late Steward T. and Edna Weary Myers.
He was a retired truck driver and was also retired from the maintenance department of the Polk County School Systems in Florida. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Eagles Club of Carlisle.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth C. Myers; three sons, Dave Miller of West Columbia. Texas, and Denny and Donald Miller, both of Lakeland; one daughter, Peggy Cloud of Roswell, N.M.; six brothers, Donald, Clarence and Roy, all of Lakeland, Bobby of Tenessee (sic), Lloyd of Mt. Holly Springs, and Charles of Gardners; six sisters, Gladys Stoerzinger and Helen Ronners, both of Mt. Holly Springs, Bertha Hayes of Lakeland, Carol Smith and Edith Thomas, both of Aspers, and Kathern Wolf of Gardners; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home-Downtown Chapel, Lakeland.
The Rev. Dean Elliott, pastor of Westside Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla.
