James “Jim” D. Boor, 71, of New Enterprise, passed away on May 20, 2016 at Pennknoll Village, Everett. Born on July 1, 1944 in Roaring Spring, the son of Virgil and Estella (Miller) Boor. On August 18, 1967 in Duncansville he married Debra L. Stitt. Jim was a member of the Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church and was a school teacher for Northern Bedford for 37 Years. His interests included genealogy pertaining to both Bedford County and his family. Jim also enjoyed studying and learning U.S. History. Surviving is his wife Debra; step-mother Lois Boor of Martinsburg; son Douglas J. Boor of Campbell, NY; son Michael T. Boor of York, PA; son Jerry P. Boor of Pleasantville, NJ; sister Connie Zimmers of Altoona; sister Denise Loose of Martinsburg; sister Deborah Long of Roaring Spring; brother Larry Boor of Carlisle; as well as five grandchildren. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home; Woodbury, PA. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church.
