Born Feb. 1, 1922, in Corydon, Ind., to William C. and Mary E. Biddle Albin, he married Bessa Lee Rice in September 1939 in Jeffersonville, Ind.
He later married Margery Smith Dexter on July 28, 1984. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Inez Albin of Dallas, Texas, Susanne (and Fay) Russell of Gladstone, and Candy (and Mike) Kage of Oquawka; three sons, Terry (and Pat) of Monmouth, Mick (and Donna) of Gladstone, and Tim (and Rhonda) of West Burlington, Iowa; one stepdaughter, Pam Byerly of Galesburg; three stepsons, Tom Cook and Gary Cook, both of Galesburg, and Mike Cook of San Pedro, Calif.; 24 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Cal (and Louise) of Corydon.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Devall; one son, William Albin Jr.; one grandson; and three brothers.
He worked at Wilson Meat Packing in Monmouth for 10 years. He also farmed in the Biggsville and Little York areas, retiring in 1975.
He attended First Christian Church in Galesburg.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel in Monmouth. Cremation has been accorded, and the burial of ashes will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
