Departed this Life, Mrs. Mary Lockwood, Wife of Col. James Lockwood, Esq; in the 81st Year of her Age. Her first Husband was Maj. John Bostwick, Esq; of New Milford. She was Mother to the Rev'd Mr. David Bostwick, deceas'd, late Pastor of the Presbyterian Church in New York. She was a virtuous and amiable Gentlewoman. She was the youngest of five Sisters that were all living in March, 1764. They belonged to Norwalk and Danbury, at the said Time when they was all living, in said March, 1764. The eldest of said Sister, was then in the 88th Year of her Age--the second Sister was in the 86th Year of her Age-the third Sister was in the 84th Year of her Age--the fourth Sister was in the 81st Year of her Age--and the fifth Sister (Mrs. Lockwood) was then in the 77th Year of her Age.--
All their Ages, put together, will make 416 Years. There is still two of the said Sisters now living; one in the 87th Year of her Age and the other Sister in the 84th Year of her Age. Their Maiden Names were Bushnell. The aforesaid five Sisters were by one Father and one Mother.---
They were all accounted credible, virtuous Women. The first Husband of the eldest Sister now living, was the Rev'd Mr. Seth Shovs, late Pastor of the Church at Danbury.
