Lucille M. Cook, age 92, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI died peacefully, Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids, WI surrounded by her family.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Rev. Valentine Joseph will officiate. Visitation will be at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park. Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI is assisting the family.
Lucille was born April 22, 1924 in Nekoosa, WI to Michael and Martha (Winserska) Kirst. She married Donald Cook on May 18, 1946 in Nekoosa, WI. He preceded her in death in 2007. Lucille was a homemaker. She was a member of the Port Edwards Homemakers, Whoopla Band, St. Mary’s PCCW and the Lowell Senior Center. Lucille enjoyed quilting and reading.
Lucille is survived by two sons, Jon (Sandy) Cook of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and David (Sue) Cook of The Villages, FL; one daughter, Pamela (Brian) Hoffmann of Port Edwards, WI; 12 grandchildren, Randy Hoffmann, Alexis Hoffmann, Sarah (Josh) O’Shasky, Elizabeth Cooper, Christopher Whitehead, Jason (Grace Kim) Cook, Andy (Jory) Cook, Rhonda (Tristan) McGough, Donna (Anayo) Onochie, Danielle (special friend- Woodrow Johns) Metzger, Traci (Fiancé- Wayne Eberhardt) O’Shasky, and Cary (special friend- Anna Lloyd) Smith; 17 great grandchildren, Lukas Johnson, Elliot O’Shasky, Lucille O’Shasky, Aaron (special friend- Breanna Heinen) Henke, Brytnny McGough, Rhiannon McGough, Adaorah Onochie, Anthony Onochie, Andrew Onochie, Ashley (Ryan) Shively-Kellog, Austin Metzger, Aydan Metzger, Lillian Johns, Dylan O’Shasky, Alycia O’Shasky, Cassidy O’Shasky and Bryce Smith; one great granddaughter, Daylynn and son-in-law, Mike Whitehead.
