She was born Jan. 18, 1924 in South Bend, Ind. [to Fred Alfred Tyson and Florence Simms and was a lifelong area resident. She married Walter Parker. He died in 1976.


Mrs. Parker retired from Prestolite Co. after 39 years of service.


She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse (Ruth) Diaz of Port Huron and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald (Carol) Green of Goodells; a daughter, Ms. Delores Taylor of Port Huron; a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred (Nancy) Silk of Port Huron; a stepson, John Parker of Florida; a sister, Ms. Erma Morehouse of Arizona; 18 grandchildren and six .{missing text from published obituary}


She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd and Fred Tyson.


Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Arthur Smith Funeral Home-South Chapel, a Guardian Chapel. Burial will be in the Christian Memorial Cultural Center in Peck.

Visiting is 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today and Friday.


Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jesse Diaz Jr., Ted and Terry Morrison, and Robert E. Taylor Jr., a granddaughter, Tammy Silk, and a friend, William Walker Jr.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's
